About Me and Nettle Rose Cottage
A Letter to My Friends
Dear Friends,
Welcome To Nettle Rose Cottage.
This is a place where the old ways are the best ways. I have a fascination for all things vintage and I have been looking for a place to share the recipes, ideas, and ways of the home with others of a like mind.
Nettle Rose Cottage is a dream in the making. No, my home is not quite a cottage, but in my thoughts and plans it will be someday. Until then, I will dress my home in cottage style and remember a time and place when home was sanctuary.
In the meantime, I live the vintage homemaker lifestyle. I have an affinity for old recipes and consider myself a vintage recipe rescuer. I live among my aprons, afghans, and antiques.
Who am I? I am a wife, a mother, and a homemaker. I firmly believe that Home is the loveliest word ever created. I am a writer and artist and crafts person. I am a woman who wears many hats, and some of them are from the 1940s
I cook, clean, can, and sew. I knit and quilt and volunteer my time at charities. I am that crazy cat woman with the flower garden filled with roses and zinnias and herbs for my kitchen.
Come visit with me and share all things vintage.
Sincerely,
Lucy

What a joy it is to have discovered your blog! We are two peas in a pod! I also believe the old ways are the best ways and long for days gone by. I will be 60 in June and would gladly leave this technological world behind if I could somehow go back to my early childhood. I also love collecting cookbooks, recipe clippings put into a binder, cook booklets. Thank you for sharing your life with me.
